Through our W2 aggregation product, Air Astana (KC) is now live with Deutsche Bahn’s Rail & Fly Solution, making inter-modal flight and train travel seamless. Air Astana’s passengers can now book a flight from Kazakhstan to Frankfurt together with a train ticket that allows them to travel to anywhere within Germany upon arriving at Frankfurt airport. Under the partnership, W2 will be the validating carrier.
Additionally, Air Astana is using our W2 Ticketing solution to sell flights to more destinations worldwide and develop additional revenue stream. The flag carrier of Kazakhstan has a fleet of 34 aircraft and intend to increase it to 43 by the end of 2022, serving a total of 64 routes.
